Addictive personality
DEFINITION:
An addictive personality is a trait, or set of traits, that develops in response to habit-forming drugs/alcohol or compulsive behavior (gambling, overeating/undereating, sex).
ARTICLE:
It is not present prior to an addiction. Often one can predict an individual's predisposition to develop an addiction by looking for an addictive personality.
